Mechanics, electronics, ergonomics, manufacturing, cost, brand and existing product portfolios all put different constraints on the design.
There is rarely a perfect answer. The work is in understanding those constraints, making the right trade-offs and turning them into a product that works as a whole.
I lead this process from the first ideas through design development and production, working closely with engineering and product management.
