Challenge

We were tasked with leading the UX, UI, and interaction design for the next-generation Smart Control App. The goal: replace the fixed structure with a modular, scalable system that could support varied product features and service layers.

  1. Simplify the user journey

  2. Enable additional functions and services

  3. Align the app with Sennheiser’s broader product and brand strategy

Solution

In close partnership with Sennheiser’s product and development teams, we redefined the app experience from the ground up. We created a scalable design system, defined unified interaction patterns across app and hardware, and delivered detailed UI specifications to ensure high-fidelity implementation across platforms.

Process Insights

Interaction Patterns

We developed cross-platform interaction principles that aligned the app with the on-device ui of the headphones.

UI Library

We migrated the legacy design system from Sketch to Figma and established a scalable, operational digital design system. The handover was smooth and the design system is still used by the internal app team of the client.

Development Support

We worked directly with engineering and product management to support implementation, refine user flows, extend the design system and also deliver animations and visuals if needed.
